With a thriller some people get mixed up with the two as some people think it's the same thing but it's not . With a horror it's to make you scared with all the guts , blood , the gory visual elements, but in a thriller it plays with your mind , it keeps you guessing of what's going to happen next so for e.g the tension within the music , excitement , and suspense are the main key elements in a thriller that creates this dynamic .
What are the most well known sub genres ??
Well with a thriller you get all different types of sub genre , that creates tension , the narrative side of the story , visual elements , suspense etc, but they all vary in their own ways but they still make up to a thriller of what you would expect anyway.
Conspiracy Thriller - Is when the protagonist ( hero , the good guy) , are armatures , or journalist investigators , where he finds himself on task , but then soon realizes that he has entered into a deep situation where the protagonist has to confront his enemies , with the biggest threat to make a run for it . Crime thrillers are also recognizable with psychological to it that emphasis into the action parts to create more depth into a crime thriller . Psychological Thrillers - Is which the conflict between the main character is mental, emotional rather then physical , which leads into a violent resolution which can play with our minds within the two characters were associated with . Good points about Qualitative reseach !!
. You can find information about peoples experiences so if you have an one to one with someone you can find out a bit more about that person so an insight in their life.
. You can find out alot of information of someone in full detail with vaild information from their life .
. You can find easily acessible information so for e.g if you wanted to find out a bit more about The Wanted (boy band) ( I love them). You can go into a book store at pick out their biography and find out more about them . So it's easy to go to a library to find stuff out about an actor ,comedian and writers etc.
. With doing an interview you can also go in depth about talking to someone about their experiences , feelings , emotions which can be a touchy topic if it's something personal to them. You may see their emotions showing when they actually talk about a topic which maybe upsetting so something that happened in their life .
. Vox pots is a good way to get peoples opinions about something , by walking up to them and asking something that you want to know about or ethier asking their opinion about the subject .
Diraries - Are good way to express your feelings and how you feel emotionally when its written down you intend to write allot, maybe to do with experiences that you have to face or you have done that have happened in your life.

They could be telling them something maybe disturbing to them and it might be hard to tell their story... So it may take some time for trust building to take action , this is the main thing to work on .
. The data that is given maybe in accurate so they maybe making it up on the spot or maybe biased.

Here is another example of Interview that has been done by the BBC interviewer ( Nicky Triggle) health coronspondent BBC News. Interviews are a good way to find out a bit of what's happening to the NHS and how the hospitals told to improve productivity, getting an insight on the people who work within the NHS and what they think of this and is it possible for this to happen. Interviews can tell you alot of information especially if you get an interview with someone working at NHS hospital whether it's a doctor or nurse , you still get an insight in what they think of the situation and giving there opinions about this situation .The information giving is like an questionnaire but instead you are being interviewed by someone which you can give full information in depth what they think and can give you a good gather of information by someone answering the questions which the interviewer comes up with to give (expression what they feel about this situation. Interviews are good way to get more of a personal response , then a questionnaire you write in all down but when giving information so the interviewee giving it across it's so much better because you're getting an insight in what there saying and some of it can be quite interesting in what they have to say .
So with the BBC interview ( Hospital about inproving the productivity)
So a report by the Nuffeild trust higlhted a cost area where productivity can be made which the hospital has to go through the trust too see if they have enough money to improve on the productivity. They have to make a saving by 2015 .What they want to happen is a full improvement on the productivity . So for e.g cutting lenghts of stay , more into case works on surgery side of work and improving ways for goods to be brought in . Statistics are involved so savings can be made in HR finace , so 70% accounts . Report point of view says " to get skill mixes right to try and limit staff working overtime so that will improve on savings so costs striking back to improve on the productivity . To tackle sickness rates , so staff being absent or ill they can't lose their staff as they need as many hands as they can especially if it's good doctors they can't afford to have them absent . We need as many docs and nurses who know there stuff to a professional standard. Between January March 2011, average sickness rate was 4.24% falling from 4.48 for the same period inn 2010. This is quite a bit it went down from. Use of Quantitative research with the use of statistics so figures.
To do this one person says they need to cut back on patients services , meals , canteen , laundry ,television rooms , and trolley service and etc . It's really a hospital where docs and nurses look after the patience when there ill but it's like a premium hospital so for e.g games , TV rooms , meals that the nurses bring to patients even thought it's nice to have these stuff but cut backing on this will improve the rates of these to improve on the more important stuff so medical improvement on the works of surgery and how to kill these sort of illness , and improving more than the body which they know how to do for e,g nose , knee , shoulder etc . Improving on bringing goods in that can help patients more in effective way to improve the equipment better .
Judith Smith, head of policy at the Nuffield Trust, said: "It is very difficult to justify cuts if inefficiencies in areas such as rates of day case surgery, length of stay and the purchasing of hospital supplies remain untackled.

So they should just go and sleep it of really instead of the doctors and nurses wasting there time on people like these, someone could be dying or needing there help more. Instead of having people coming in because there got bad cold , or there arm hurts or something that's not death threatening well if it's broken a bone or something then that's fair enough see a doctor but real illness should be dealt more something that needs to be treated .

I think it be good that they start saving for the new improvement it be more effective way to improve on surgery dynamics , bring goods in that can be more treatable for the patients . For this to happen yes cut backs I think would have to be made , because they don't need all these premium items , services it costing them more for the stuff if they cut back on these then they probably would have some money for in the trust fund to help improve on productivity . So they should reduce the amount of these not necessarily get rid of them all but some , then they can think more on the patients on treating them effective way of treatments , reducing the sickness absence ,discharging patients if they don't really need to stay overnight . This would make sense if they thought about it twice and dealt with proper situations. Quantitiative research Supersize me !!
What is quantitative research is all about satistics , tally charts , facts , and graphs so maps , bar charts , pie charts and etc , that show data of information but in statistics (numbers this can represent information with the main facts.)
Good things about Quantitative research !!
. It shows data easily with facts coming up on screen
. It can show reliable information with statistics that has been backed up
. It can show accuaracy of the data , that is true .
. It can be so much easier than loads of writing , it can show the main data of statistics .
. When statistics come up on screen they may be animated it makes more fun
. Reduces bias
Disadvantages of Qunatitative data !!
. Statistics need to be constant of updating because you have all these statistics on the internet from ages ago of random stuff that happened in 2002 , 2004 , and they don't update it to this year.
. Statistics don't show you the meaninng of feelings , motivations so an insight into that persons life.... It just gives you the fact information which apart from that is as good use of source.
. The information (statistics ) doesn't give you much in detail as it is just numbers .
. It doesn't really tell us about peoples emotions , how they actually feel within a subject.
. It reflects there experience but not nessarrey of the subject .
Example !! Super size me !!
In this documentary of super size me it shows the people of America which the US is the fattest nation in the world. There is a voice over at the start saying "1 million people are officially obese including more 60% of adults." It represents the data by showing us a map of how many people in 1988 - 200 has doubled the amount of people are obese. It also shows us kids who have reached the underweight staged and has now became obese and adalesents who are 3 times overweight .More than 1/4 people in Mississippi are obese more than 25% population is obese . The map was animated so that shows a good way of understanding how many people so kids, adults who are obese with the colour coded colours, it makes it recognizable easily. It gives that fun factor in way.It shows a close up of a man smoking , the voice over- "it is second into obesity of deaths of preventing smoking." It comes up on screen 400,000 deaths are associated with bad illness . It has an image of a lady who is trying to walk but you can see how obese she looks. She is associated with a wheel chair so that kinda relates to the facts of the number, that people who are fat and who smoke will have some sort of illness if they carry on eating fast food. If they can't fight the illness then they are likely to die. People in America visit fast food restaurants so MC Donald's is a very popular one which 1/4 people have one for breakfast lunch and dinner well all day as it shows on this documentary (no offence though). By having this all the time it can cause major liver and heart problems.
In 2002 (law suit) few American people did get fed up with their weight as they sued MC Donald's .It comes up with this image of MC Donald's character which looks like it's came of a news bulletin or something . The quote that was used " Sued the Bastards" this connects to the audience it makes it interesting and informs the audience of what's going on. I think it's stupid really because it's there own fault for getting to a stage of obesity. They have a choice if they want to eat fast foods but they choose to eat them. So it's not really the company's fault to be honest.Well if they ate less of eating fatty food then they may see some progress and not reaching to obesity .(No offence though).The next bit is where they show a diagram of a 14 year old girl and a 19 year old girl and it shows how slim they were and as they ate fatty foods (MC Donald's) they became obese . So the 14 year old girl - is 4 ft 10 and puts on weight of 170 pounds and the 19 year old girl is 5 ft 6 and puts on weight of 270 pounds . The way they do this is animated so it's like a drawing and it animates up from being slim from a young child and then to obesity where it reaches to large drawing . It shows a very good understanding of how it works of being young then you turn into this horrible size. Animation makes it interesting to watch bring more fun on screen . Then you have like images(archive footage with cutaways) of fat people outside hanging around out of a restaurant and shows the most popular fast food place is MC Donald's, 1/4 visit MC Donald's .
The next shot is where it shows you a map of showing 30,000 fast food restaurant of MC Donald's over the world and over 100 countries which goes goes over 6 continents around the world,so it's very popular. You can see that it's kept to MC Donald's colours in the writing at the bottom of the screen it says 46 million served daily so all the American people visit fast food restaurant and it's more of the population of Spain. It shows you pictures of different MC Donald's restaurants so in town , air ports , hospitals and etc so there everywhere you turn . You have the guy Morgan who is going to try this out by getting some medical advice first , he went to see three doctors about fasting. This is a research method of Qualitative research as it is do with getting 3 experts advice on their own opinions about the matter and you find out facts as well. He went to a GP .Health , blood , Exercise , walking experts to help him how it will affect him and waht will happen so like moodswings , chloestrol will go up hell gain weight and etc. , to find out the information of his blood , his health change , his blood , walking and that lot . So it shows you quite alot of good advice the doctors have giving to him for him to be aware of when he is fastening.
In this second part he starts his fastening ...... Morgan asks people do they eat fast food the man says "once in a while" , "how often" "about 2 times a week" , then he asks this young guy how many times he has MC Donald's he was like "4 5 times a week." This is known as vox pots as he asking people when they eat fast food ,so this is research method of Qualitative research as is finding out peoples opinions . I think having MCdonald's all the time like the guy above says he has one 4 , 5 times a week .....That is bad and that will make you fat having it for breakfast , lunch and dinner. It will make you chloestrol and your blood go up so it's not really good aand you will see a change in your life my eating MC donald's all the time . If you have it all the time it will make you sick which isn't good and then you start to develop illness along the way which won't be good .... So a balance diet is good =)
The final result !!!
So after the binge of fast food after 6 weeks after eliminated super size got him and he had changed in the way he feels , the way he ate , his apperance slightly , weight , blood , cholestrol levels and etc . So day 1 his body fat was 11% and by day 30 he gained 18% of body fat and he now he weighes 24 pounds and his cholesterol level has gone up to 230 it went up to 64 points . His liver was turning into fat , he was so under national average weight of men, which is 22%. In this diagram it's well animated as you can tell how he started of by day 1 with him being slim and then by day 30 it changes to where he has put weight on so you can tell the difference in what has happened to his body weight . It shows a clear understanding of how it happened with the key information and numbers with the main facts of the change . He doubled his heart rate 2x .... he felt depressed and exhausted most of the time and there were changes of his mood swings and his sex life was nil. He got massive cravings , but when he didn't he had headaches. This came up on the screen animated with the MC Donald's colours in the background with the cookie box of the MC Donald's characters with sticking to the logo and the colours . The colours are reconizable as we associate MC donald's with the red , yellow the big M and the characters. We see it all the time wherever we go.The new chicken salad they introduced has more calories then a big mac and 51 grams of fat . There 79% daily fat in take recommend....

This information gives us Quantitative research with good use of numbers , facts , graph data . The open sequence is with the kids singing the tune song of MC Donald's which the kids have grown up with from a young age (child hood.) MC Donald's is popular which everyone enjoys happy meals for kids because you get a toy with it so that's kinda fun of it oooh you get a toy which kids love. . Statistics need to be constant of updating because you have all these statistics on the internet from ages ago of random stuff that happened in 2002 , 2004 , and they don't update it to this year.
. Statistics don't show you the meaninng of feelings , motivations so an insight into that persons life.... It just gives you the fact information which apart from that is as good use of source.
. The information (statistics ) doesn't give you much in detail as it is just numbers .
. It doesn't really tell us about peoples emotions , how they actually feel within a subject.
. It reflects there experience but not nessarrey of the subject .
Example !! Super size me !!
In this documentary of super size me it shows the people of America which the US is the fattest nation in the world. There is a voice over at the start saying "1 million people are officially obese including more 60% of adults." It represents the data by showing us a map of how many people in 1988 - 200 has doubled the amount of people are obese. It also shows us kids who have reached the underweight staged and has now became obese and adalesents who are 3 times overweight .More than 1/4 people in Mississippi are obese more than 25% population is obese . The map was animated so that shows a good way of understanding how many people so kids, adults who are obese with the colour coded colours, it makes it recognizable easily. It gives that fun factor in way.It shows a close up of a man smoking , the voice over- "it is second into obesity of deaths of preventing smoking." It comes up on screen 400,000 deaths are associated with bad illness . It has an image of a lady who is trying to walk but you can see how obese she looks. She is associated with a wheel chair so that kinda relates to the facts of the number, that people who are fat and who smoke will have some sort of illness if they carry on eating fast food. If they can't fight the illness then they are likely to die. People in America visit fast food restaurants so MC Donald's is a very popular one which 1/4 people have one for breakfast lunch and dinner well all day as it shows on this documentary (no offence though). By having this all the time it can cause major liver and heart problems.
In 2002 (law suit) few American people did get fed up with their weight as they sued MC Donald's .It comes up with this image of MC Donald's character which looks like it's came of a news bulletin or something . The quote that was used " Sued the Bastards" this connects to the audience it makes it interesting and informs the audience of what's going on. I think it's stupid really because it's there own fault for getting to a stage of obesity. They have a choice if they want to eat fast foods but they choose to eat them. So it's not really the company's fault to be honest.Well if they ate less of eating fatty food then they may see some progress and not reaching to obesity .(No offence though).The next bit is where they show a diagram of a 14 year old girl and a 19 year old girl and it shows how slim they were and as they ate fatty foods (MC Donald's) they became obese . So the 14 year old girl - is 4 ft 10 and puts on weight of 170 pounds and the 19 year old girl is 5 ft 6 and puts on weight of 270 pounds . The way they do this is animated so it's like a drawing and it animates up from being slim from a young child and then to obesity where it reaches to large drawing . It shows a very good understanding of how it works of being young then you turn into this horrible size. Animation makes it interesting to watch bring more fun on screen . Then you have like images(archive footage with cutaways) of fat people outside hanging around out of a restaurant and shows the most popular fast food place is MC Donald's, 1/4 visit MC Donald's .

childrens drama - characters , problems occured , storyline
what we tried to create!! - storyline !!
Is bacially about a group of pirates who are looking for treasure and they hear like these sobbing noises of someone crying for help . Then there very anxious of what is coming from the woods. They go into the woods and find a boy who is sobbing . Then they find out why he is crying because Kenni (Adam) who was very mean to his friends . So the pirates strike a deal if he helps them out the pirates they will help them him out .So pirates ask Kenni to be a nicer a person and to be nice to his friends. Then Shannon (Shipmate) gives the device to Kenni to let him to change back the past and undo the things he wish he never done . So bascially the pirates are helping kids to become a better person to others so friends and how being mean to someone doesn't get you anywhere in life. So being nice is the best way forward . So it lets kids know whats the right thing to do instead of doing the wrong thing which can upset people .
The Chracters !!- who did what !!
We had Adam as Kenni as the lost boy who is a bit sarcastic and bit cocky ...That suited him well for that character ha ha . Kieran was the Captian so he was the main character as he was in charge , can be quite strict as he is the Captian of course .You have Claudia and Shannon , Claudia was Joe who was quite keen and loves animals and Shannon was Shipmate the proffessional pirate who likes to earn rewards and can be quite mean if you push his buttons . The director was me and Georgie was like assitant to help with set / props, getting characters ready . The camera work was me , we all took part in the editing so we all had an input to that .
Problems occured!! Well when the childrens drama was due in problems did happen with the computer we were using. The E drive it wouldn't let us insert our footage for a strange reason but then I sorted it out . Then it was taking forever to copy into the E drive probably because we had alot of footage it was copying then it was saying 35mins left ...Then we thought nearly done but then it said 80mins left to go so that was really confussing how it went down and then went back up weird !!! .. So this took 2 hours but it still hasn't copied into the E drive so we just all sat there waiting for it to hurry up but it didn't look like it was it was doing anything, it was taking forever for some reason. So that wasted about 2 hours, we could of gotten it all nearly done- edited for a rough cut but we didn't because it was taking forever for it to copy .... So we just went home in the end after doing nothing really stupid computer arrgh !! The audio levels because in some parts it was quite quiet and you couldn't hear what they were saying . We wern't very organised with our clips as on the E drive the files were everywhere , it was so confusing to find out which file was ares what we were using. I did say to put in the folder but noone really listen do they . So that was a night mare trying to find out what clips we wanted to use and some of the footage wasn't there . When I was filming I did get claudia out of shot a bit she was so close tothe ege , and also with having the three of the pirates in shot I did cut of Shannon and Kirean a bit . I didn't mean to but I was trying to un tighting the handle as it was stiff , so that was probably why it looked bad ha ha .
The day to get it done well due in !!
On friday 9th December problems occured with editing, the computer kept freezing , premire pro kept coming up with not responding. But with some of the footage we had it was edited but it was missing parts out so it may of been confusing of what the storyline is ... So Georgie came up with an idea of just putting in a story of telling it without the footage as were mssing bits of it so it gives you that idea of whats happening . But then Georgie thought of getting a video clip of youtube a pirates ship to put at the start with an open sequence of the story. So we were all looking for a pirates ship for most of the lesson but we couln't find one that was suitable ... But in the end we did that took some time then we converted it to a video clip but then it was in a audio clip not a video clip. So then we had to download it again but then it wouldn't insert into premire pro for some reason .... Then it reached to the end of the lesson we were no where done .... So in the end we didn't use the youtube clip or intertitles in the end we just left it as were running out of time. I thought to stay behind to get everything done , the others had work , and drama thing to go to... So I stayed behind . Then this turns out as a disaster...I was editing on premire pro ,then the computer kept crashing and not responding again ..... so that took some time for that to sort it's way out .... Then I wanted to import back in the file again , then it wouldn't come up for some strange reason , then I renamed the file but it wouldn't open in premire pro so I was getting really annoyed . On the computer there are so many files of ours it's so confusing to find out which one is ours because we've refilmed so many times its all there all the old footage on screen with all muddled up . But I've told to put it into a folder but noone listens to me so yea . The file kept saying can't open or something then I was like what so I renamed it again it opened then it would say failure .... This was taking forever to do to open it up bout 3 hours to do .... So i've just been trying to fix the computer during those hours because it kept crashing so files were lost , it wasn't responding then it would'nt insert so I don't know .... Then in the end it worked after 3hours so that really annoyed me. I hate computers prefer laptops so much easier to use and don't crash as much as the pcs . Then I was sorting the files out as there all muddled up , then I couldn't find the footage that I wanted .... Well I'm not surprised really as the files were everywhere not in a folder ..... So I found some of the footage but It's not what I wanted for the shot after. We're nowhere near finished so I was just annoyed if I had one of my group member there It probably would of been done but they had to go to work and stuff .... I was just so tired after , and really stressed out..... I didn't even get anywhere so that was pointless staying behind really .

Camera angles used !!
The camera angles they use is variety of shots in Binky vs Binkey they use shots like long angle shot so this gives you a full angle of what is in the background of the environment so giving detail whats in the surrounding area they are in . You get shots like close ups so you can see their facial expression which can show their emotions if there upset or if there feeling excited about something when Binky wants to enter the the competition we see a energetic person here that wants to do cycling as career wise. You also get an overshoulder view of binky talking to his friend. This shot is very common when we see someone having a conversation with another person. You get a use of close ups to show the detail of the food that Buster enjoys then it zooms out quite sharply to behind shot . You get mid shot of Binky talking without having his feet or legs shown , it just focous on the dialoguge in that scene and have more into the impact of the action going on in that sequence and there main focus is onto Binky talking to get the best part of the dialouge that is taking place as well as the action.They used low angle view of capturing the person, this gives height to person with giving in speed in the motion of the action.
You get the use of a Birds Eye View shot of Binky riding into the dirt yard so this shot makes it smaller but into a wider shot as your looking down onto the subject.This shot can be used to give a good establishing shot with more depth into the scene.You get a shot of close up of the bikes going by so you get the fast motion coming of the wheels. You have the use of long shots as well of him at the end of the race of him winning the race which Binky seems to be pleased that he had made it to the end with a little bit of doubt in his head but he kept going and didn't give up. Also you had some transitions in there to with the use of side away in a diagonal transition and floating type transitions to make it fun and to turn into the next chapter of the next clip.
How ever with Tracy Beaker programe of the new girl: you get shots of the same shot angles but a different variety of shots .The use of angles as well with the use of close ups showing feelings emotions , so their facial emontions of Tracy Beaker and Justine. You have a long shot of the three girls in the bathroom so this shows you the eviroment there in by realting to their props they are using so them cleaning their teeth. So it gives you just of the location there in. You have this low angle of the new girl who has been admitted to the home because her mom was in a terrible accident.The low angle shot consists of the new girl from looking up showing that she is scared and fragile after hearing news about her mum. For Tracy Beaker you have a more higher angle of Tracy that she is in power creating different height angles with the camera moving to a low angle of new girl. You have mid shots to capture the detail in their facial expression as well which then in the background concentrating more on the upper half of the body with the camera focusing more on her then any other part so lower body. Gives more impact into the action as well with these use of camera shot of the new girl in her room and the blonde girl. So the main focus will be that one shot of the close up frame within that scene. You get long shots as well to capture the background so the enviroment there in which relates to what there talking about with the use of actions put into it .
You have alot of use of mid shots in this programe of where Tracey and Justine are arguing about the littles things, you get view of the shot with the background and it shows the detail of whats happening with rage in their face which captures face emotions so you can see how that reflecting with the two characters and Tracy and Justine . You have long shots as well showing you the eviroment with showing more of the action of Tracy and Justine arguing again . It bascially lets you see everything from a wide angle perspective . Good use of shot to capture movements and the detail within the human figure of the girls of the surrounded area. You have a shot which pans over so from the bed nicely moving to Jenny who comes into the room that works nicely .The panning shot is good to follow someone giving a nice flow where the camera moves from the bed to door then Jenny makes her entrance you have the interior of the bedroom with the light colors reflecting with each other. You have another shot so a low angle of the girl who is running down the steps you get a shot of her feet so this shows like the fast pace of her feet running down the steps.
You have a shot of Tracy Beaker which the camera slowly moving in then it flashes over to Sam ( the new girl) who is talking about her mum how she misses her. Then you have a shot of Tracey Beaker which is mid shot so more focused on the upper body and dialogue that is being said so Tracey telling Sam how she misses her mom as well and that her mum is a popstar and how everything will be okeay . This shows a good comforting shot that Tracy listens to Sam and you can see they have a great connection with each other with sharing problems which you just need to talk to a friend when your down which shows that. As Sam leaves , You have a high shot of Tracy from the window who feels really down that she just made a new friend and now she has to leave as her mum is feeling alot better. This angle gives a high angle of the interior of the building as it gazes up. Then you have shot from behind as Tracy looking down from the outside, then you have mid shot of Sam coming into the bedroom to say her goodbyes which is nice as they became good friends and it shows there emotions as well of how there feeling at this point . You have a mid shot of them saying there goodbyes to one another then close ups of them two having their picture taken then of the flash of a camera which is good it shows the fun factor good old times of rembering the best parts of child hood.

You have the use of long shots as well of him at the end of the race of him winning the race which Binky seems to be pleased that he had made it to the end with a little bit of doubt in his head but he kept going and didn't give up. Also you had some transitions in there to with the use of side away in a diagonal transition and floating type transitions to make it fun and to turn into the next chapter of the next clip.
How ever with Tracy Beaker programe of the new girl: you get shots of the same shot angles but a different variety of shots .The use of angles as well with the use of close ups showing feelings emotions , so their facial emontions of Tracy Beaker and Justine. You have a long shot of the three girls in the bathroom so this shows you the eviroment there in by realting to their props they are using so them cleaning their teeth. So it gives you just of the location there in. You have this low angle of the new girl who has been admitted to the home because her mom was in a terrible accident.The low angle shot consists of the new girl from looking up showing that she is scared and fragile after hearing news about her mum. For Tracy Beaker you have a more higher angle of Tracy that she is in power creating different height angles with the camera moving to a low angle of new girl. You have mid shots to capture the detail in their facial expression as well which then in the background concentrating more on the upper half of the body with the camera focusing more on her then any other part so lower body. Gives more impact into the action as well with these use of camera shot of the new girl in her room and the blonde girl. So the main focus will be that one shot of the close up frame within that scene. You get long shots as well to capture the background so the enviroment there in which relates to what there talking about with the use of actions put into it .
You have alot of use of mid shots in this programe of where Tracey and Justine are arguing about the littles things, you get view of the shot with the background and it shows the detail of whats happening with rage in their face which captures face emotions so you can see how that reflecting with the two characters and Tracy and Justine . You have long shots as well showing you the eviroment with showing more of the action of Tracy and Justine arguing again . It bascially lets you see everything from a wide angle perspective . Good use of shot to capture movements and the detail within the human figure of the girls of the surrounded area. You have a shot which pans over so from the bed nicely moving to Jenny who comes into the room that works nicely .The panning shot is good to follow someone giving a nice flow where the camera moves from the bed to door then Jenny makes her entrance you have the interior of the bedroom with the light colors reflecting with each other. You have another shot so a low angle of the girl who is running down the steps you get a shot of her feet so this shows like the fast pace of her feet running down the steps.
You have a shot of Tracy Beaker which the camera slowly moving in then it flashes over to Sam ( the new girl) who is talking about her mum how she misses her. Then you have a shot of Tracey Beaker which is mid shot so more focused on the upper body and dialogue that is being said so Tracey telling Sam how she misses her mom as well and that her mum is a popstar and how everything will be okeay . This shows a good comforting shot that Tracy listens to Sam and you can see they have a great connection with each other with sharing problems which you just need to talk to a friend when your down which shows that. As Sam leaves , You have a high shot of Tracy from the window who feels really down that she just made a new friend and now she has to leave as her mum is feeling alot better. This angle gives a high angle of the interior of the building as it gazes up. Then you have shot from behind as Tracy looking down from the outside, then you have mid shot of Sam coming into the bedroom to say her goodbyes which is nice as they became good friends and it shows there emotions as well of how there feeling at this point . You have a mid shot of them saying there goodbyes to one another then close ups of them two having their picture taken then of the flash of a camera which is good it shows the fun factor good old times of rembering the best parts of child hood.

The 3rd attempt of re filming again - Another new Production Diary !!
On the 27th of November due to the footage they had done so far like I said before about the shots it was just the same shot through which is quit boring. So Steve suggested for us to film again because the footage they had wouldn't get us a good grade. So it was right to film again even though it's down to last minute arrgh . The rest of the group was bit annoyed that we had to film again because we've filmed about three times already. But it's best to re film because it be good to get a merit then a pass . I was alright with it , it did make sense to film , to use more different variety shots =) because it's boring keeping to the same shot which they had was just mid shots thats rubbish . Then we had to decide when we were going to film we were going to film on tuesday but people had work that day so fair enough and they couldn't do wednesday so we decided to come in on thursday in the morning before lesson as we werent due in till 1 .
So then problems occured today on the 1st december arrgh !!
I came in at half ten due to that I had the dentist in the morning . Then I phoned Georgie as I got to college she was saying that we wernt filming till eleven. but I thought everyone was at college as we arranged to film at nine but then problems occured because of that . Then me and Claudia got the equipment because we thought we were filming at eleven. But then Georgie said that Shannon couldn't do the morning as she had work that morning but Georgie txt her saying can't she take the other hours of but she didn't get in contact with Georgie.Now she didn't finish till 12 .We had Kirean in it but he wasn't awnsering back to Georgies txts so he wasn't in anyway but she did txt them both th night before and the smorning but they didn't txt her back. We were meant to have Adam in it but he had his prezi to do so that was messed up but we couldn't do it without the other two. So we were all there me , Claudia and Georgie and everything was messed up because we couldn't film because we needed those guys in it. It was annoying too because we got there early and we just didn't do anything really sat in the cafe and that ... But we could of been filming if we had all our crew but we didn't so annoying arrgh=/. But we arranged it for the smorning of today so I don't know how everyone forgot about it really thats weird . So then I felt stupid getting the equipment then handing in back in but we couldn't film so arrgh =/ .
But now we have arranged to film tomorow 2nd of december arrgh=/ it's all down to last day now . I hate leaving everything to the last minute because it get's all rushed. We could of had this done all ages ago by now but that didn't happend did it .... the rough cut of the footge of editing got be done ...i'm just a bit worried now because the deadline for that tomorow and weve got to film edit , audio , music and everything to do ... So weve got just crack on with it and get this rough cut done... I'm sure we can if we just work together and film it and then crack on with editing afterwards then it be fine ... So were filming tomoz 2nd of december !!
The filming day 2nd of december !!
We did finally film, but we had alot of waiting around for a bit because there was alot of one on ones with our group and actor Adam (talking to ),so we had to wait till they had finished so we could all film as we needed them in our shoot. Then after a while past ..... We were already to go out and film. We filmed in Fareham College on the feild part in the woods. We used this because it was easy to go and film in College where everyones there and we can just get it done as it was due in that day of filming so it was easier to film here . That day of filming I was director , ha ha that was a big role to be part of ha ha . On set (woods) I setted up the equipment all ready to go .... the rest of the cast was having their own conversations, then they all went to a stage of talking about pets and getting their phones out to show what pets they had...weird on shoot !!! So me as the director I had to shout well I did it in a nice way ha ha , because I'm not mean ha ha but they wouldn't listen then I shouted again at them in a nice form of way. Then they did listen the second time round so told them what shot I was doing and for them to get in to position and to remind them what there doing and saying and that lot .
Shooting Part !!
God it was so impossible to film Kieran as an actor, ha ha , he was funny on set , but I was the director I neeed them to focous, he was messing about a bit and laughing so I had to tell them to get into focus and let it all out to Kieran because he was laughing so much god knows why. Then we did a practise shoot and then It was ha ha . I was like right come on guys lets do it focus and that lot and telling them what I wanted from them as I wanted them to be pirates, act like them . I always did a coutdown to get them ready , I would do that then Kieran would be talking to the rest of the cast it was like what are you doing your on set act like ... so that took some time I was getting quite annoyed a bit and then I got bit strict the rest of the actors were like chill but I was taking it seriously, they were talking , having their own convosations while I was ready to shoot as messing about and stuff well . Then Adam was playing music when filming on set so I was like if you want to do that go of set. When I was about to film again I was like Adam trying to shoot here because didn't what that in that in the background then he did evetually stop when I shouted ha ha. Don't you just love it when you see their faces change like oh ha ha. Well when your the director you got to take charge and you got take it seriously as youre shooting , actors wasting time money being lost !!
Camera shots !!The second half of our film!!
When shooting the camera shots I used at the start was behind shot of a long shot of them going into the woods very anxious of the noises in the trees . This shot shows the focus of the characters and the detail in the enviroment their in with a full wide length of the background and characters . Then their was another long shot of them as you see them in front of walking into the woods and you can see their facial emotions as they hear something in the woods sobbing noises . The next shot after that was a close up of Adam sobbing against the tree, then you have a shot panning away from him to the the 3 pirates. Next you have a shot a close up of Kieran making a comment to the lost boy . Then you have a mid shot of Adam in a scarcastic voice saying "Oh what's this then fancy dress?". Then you have a shot of all 3 of the pirates a close up of there confussed faces this part they just kept laughing , it was like come on guys focus they were getting distracted by Adam being stupid ha ha. I shooted then it was like come on again.. Claudia had a good confussed face then the other two were just laughing in it so but creates humor for kids I guezz . Close up are good as it shows the emotions and facial expressions of what the character is creating.Then we had an over shoulder shot of Adam talking to Kieran , then another overshoulder shot of Kieran talking to Adam . Then we had a side shot of a mid shot of Keiran as he draws his sword to him . Then we had a shot of all the pirates over shoulder view of Kieran talking to Adam. Then I did a Close up of Adam showing his emotions that he's really sorry of talking to the Captian in that way . Then we had a shot of 3 pirates with the shot of panning from the pirates to Shannon saying that he should be nice and she tells him what to do with the travels device this was a mid shot of them two .He drops it on the ground, then you have a behind shot long shot of the pirates talking walking back through the woods to get back onto the beach .Then that was pretty much it . But that did take a while to do !! E drive but it wouldn't let us for a strange reason but then I sorted it out . Then it was taking forever to copy into the e drive probably because we had alot of footage it was copying then it was saying 35mins left ...Then we thought nearly done but then it said 80mins left to go so that was really confussing how it went down and then went back up weird !!! .. So this took 2 hours but it still hasn't copied into the e drive so we just all sat there waiting for it to hurry up but it didn't look like it was it was doing anything, it was taking forever for some reason. So that wasted about 2 hours, we could of gotten it all nearly done- edited for a rough cut but we didn't because it was taking forever for it to copy .... So we just went home in the end after doing nothing really stupid computer arrgh !! So were gonna do it monday hopefully it will work for us to finish of the rough cut !!
The Chracters !!
We had Adam as Kenni as the lost boy who is a bit sarcastic and bit cocky ...That suited him well for that character ha ha . Kieran was the Captian so he was the main character as he was in charge , can be quite strict as he is the Captian of course .You have Claudia and Shannon , Claudia was Joe who was quite keen and loves animals and Shannon was Shipmate the proffessional pirate who likes to earn reward and can be quite mean if you push his buttons . The director was me and Georgie was like assitant to help with set / props, getting characters ready .
Editing !!
The editing we are keeping to our footage at Netley Beach because we need that for the first scene because there not a beach at Fareham so we had to keep that bit ... The footage after that we had to delete because it was the same use of shots , it does look better with a different variety of shots it makes it more interesting then just the same shot throughout . So thats why we had to re film to get some more different shots .The rest of editing got to be done 9th December for the final rough cut we've done the first part of edit but we just need to crack on with the second part to edit as it took a long time to sort these parts out as it was all muddled up so that took some time and then the renaming part thats so annoying. So were going to get on with editing today 8th December the day before final cut this afternoon. Me and Shannon will be cracking on with that to edit second part with adding some trandsitions and cutaways to add to it . The transitions that be good for a childrens drama will be like dissolve and side away transitions because thats what you would expect to find in childrens drama .
Title!!
At the start of our sequence we have used a title , we used one of the fonts from 1001 fonts we got rid of the yellow background by using photoshop so the magic wand by selecting the letters and deselecting it by getting rid of the yellow background . Then we inserted it into the background in adobe premire , but it was coming up with a white background on the shot of the lightning affect, thats where we put it on that as it was our open sequence.Then we had to use the luminty key to get rid of the white background by turning the numbers down a bit then highing it up.The title we used was like a piratey look...The title for our childrens drama is Pirates lost in time. We have chosen this because the pirates enter this world where they have never been before and they get lost as it's a new world to them...
So far of editing but on monday we have to add in the bits from the woods that we filmed on Friday after the last bit of this to our final rough cut . With this shot we had a voice over of Shannon talking about steps as it said on the script. Which brings in sense humor bit funny for the children watching this.The First shot I thought was really good of Kirean , Claudia , Shannon where they have used a ligtning affect with the electric shock sound from free sound which we dowloaded to create the affect of them struggling reading the map with the the flashing striking affects of them moving that was good with this affect they used . This shot was also quite blurred as it dipped to black.I like the second shot of them on the beach as it was long shot of the beach in the background, it gives that nice scale shot of the background and them in shot , you can also hear the sound of the waves too. Kieran was funny in the background with his moves ha ha .They had mid shot of them arriving on the beach dancing in a form of way which was funny with having the map of trying to find the treasure. Kirean who starred in was a good actor I thought . Then you have mid shot of the captian talking "the only thing thats going to help me go on around here is helping me find by treasure. I used a Dip to white transition here, I thought it looked alright."Then you have another mid shot of Claudia talking to the Captian. Then you had a mid shot of them hearing something in the woods they heard a sobbing noises from the woods as you have a paning shot .Then you have a close up of the pirates going into the woods, another mid shot of the pirates talking together .
The day to get it done well due in !!
On friday 9th December problems occured with editing, the computer kept freezing , premire pro kept coming up with not responding. But with some of the footage we had it was edited but it was missing parts out so it may of been confusing of what the storyline is ... So Georgie came up with an idea of just putting in a story of telling it without the footage as were mssing bits of it so it gives you that idea of whats happening . But then Georgie thought of getting a video clip of youtube a pirates ship to put at the start with an open sequence of the story. So we were all looking for a pirates ship for most of the lesson but we couln't find one that was suitable ... But in the end we did that took some time then we converted it to a video clip but then it was in a audio clip not a video clip. So then we had to download it again but then it wouldn't insert into premire pro for some reason .... Then it reached to the end of the lesson we were no where done .... So I thought to stay behind to get everything done , the others had work , and drama thing to go to... So I stayed behind . Then this turns out as a disaster....
I was editing on premire pro ,then the computer kept crashing and not responding again ..... so that took some time for that to sort its way out .... Then I wanted to import back in the file again , then it wouldn't come up for some strange reason , then I renamed the file but it wouldn't open in premire pro so I was getting really annoyed . Then I was sorting the files out as there all muddled up , then I couldn't find the footage that I wanted .... Well I'm not surprised really as the files were everywhere not in a folder ..... So I found some of the footage but It's not what I wanted for the shot after. We're nowhere near finished so I was just annoyed if I had one of my group member there It probably would of been done but they had to go to work and stuff .... I was just so tired after , and really stressed out..... I didn't even get anywhere so that was pointless staying behind really .
Script!!Claudia and Georgie did the script , but when shooting I notied that they didn't say what it said on the script well it was similar but they took chucks out of it ... I think this is because they just wanted to make it sweet and quick to get it out of the way. Fair enough I see why because we had to re do some filming and yea it was cold that day bloody freezing when shooting . But in a childrens drama if it said what the had to do written on paper they would have to but I think they couldn't be bothered to act and say out all the parts so yea... At least it is done now all the filming so we don't have to worry about it now thank god till another day . It was still to do with pirates and helping a young boy out and to make him learn from wrong to make him to be better person and to be nice which relates to kids in a big way... How being nasty to someone isn't nice but being a nice person gets you somewhere in life. So by helping the pirates out and him the young boy helping them out, they all worked together he gets to go back in time to change the past of what hes done to become a nicer person .

Which brings in sense humor bit funny for the children watching this.The First shot I thought was really good of Kirean , Claudia , Shannon where they have used a ligtning affect with the electric shock sound from free sound which we dowloaded to create the affect of them struggling reading the map with the the flashing striking affects of them moving that was good with this affect they used . This shot was also quite blurred as it dipped to black.I like the second shot of them on the beach as it was long shot of the beach in the background, it gives that nice scale shot of the background and them in shot , you can also hear the sound of the waves too. Kieran was funny in the background with his moves ha ha .They had mid shot of them arriving on the beach dancing in a form of way which was funny with having the map of trying to find the treasure. Kirean who starred in was a good actor I thought . Then you have mid shot of the captian talking "the only thing thats going to help me go on around here is helping me find by treasure. I used a Dip to white transition here, I thought it looked alright."Then you have another mid shot of Claudia talking to the Captian. Then you had a mid shot of them hearing something in the woods they heard a sobbing noises from the woods as you have a paning shot .Then you have a close up of the pirates going into the woods, another mid shot of the pirates talking together .
The day to get it done well due in !!
On friday 9th December problems occured with editing, the computer kept freezing , premire pro kept coming up with not responding. But with some of the footage we had it was edited but it was missing parts out so it may of been confusing of what the storyline is ... So Georgie came up with an idea of just putting in a story of telling it without the footage as were mssing bits of it so it gives you that idea of whats happening . But then Georgie thought of getting a video clip of youtube a pirates ship to put at the start with an open sequence of the story. So we were all looking for a pirates ship for most of the lesson but we couln't find one that was suitable ... But in the end we did that took some time then we converted it to a video clip but then it was in a audio clip not a video clip. So then we had to download it again but then it wouldn't insert into premire pro for some reason .... Then it reached to the end of the lesson we were no where done .... So I thought to stay behind to get everything done , the others had work , and drama thing to go to... So I stayed behind . Then this turns out as a disaster....
I was editing on premire pro ,then the computer kept crashing and not responding again ..... so that took some time for that to sort its way out .... Then I wanted to import back in the file again , then it wouldn't come up for some strange reason , then I renamed the file but it wouldn't open in premire pro so I was getting really annoyed . On the computer there are so many files of ours it's so confusing to find out which one is ours because we've refilmed so many times its all there all the old footage on screen with all muddled up . But I've told to put it into a folder but noone listens to me so yea . The file kept saying can't open or something then I was like What so I renamed it again it opened then it would say failure .... This was taking forever to do to open it up bout 3 hours to do .... So i've just been trying to fix the computer during those hours because it kept crashing so files were lost , it wasn't responding then it would'nt insert so I don't know .... Then in the end it worked after 3hours so that really annoyed me. I hate computers prefer laptops so much easier to use and don't crash as much as the pcs . Then I was sorting the files out as there all muddled up , then I couldn't find the footage that I wanted .... Well I'm not surprised really as the files were everywhere not in a folder ..... So I found some of the footage but It's not what I wanted for the shot after. We're nowhere near finished so I was just annoyed if I had one of my group member there It probably would of been done but they had to go to work and stuff .... I was just so tired after , and really stressed out..... I didn't even get anywhere so that was pointless staying behind really .
Script!!Claudia and Georgie did the script , but when shooting I notied that they didn't say what it said on the script well it was similar but they took chucks out of it ... I think this is because they just wanted to make it sweet and quick to get it out of the way. Fair enough I see why because we had to re do some filming and yea it was cold that day bloody freezing when shooting . But in a childrens drama if it said what the had to do written on paper they would have to but I think they couldn't be bothered to act and say out all the parts so yea... At least it is done now all the filming so we don't have to worry about it now thank god till another day . It was still to do with pirates and helping a young boy out and to make him learn from wrong to make him to be better person and to be nice which relates to kids in a big way... How being nasty to someone isn't nice but being a nice person gets you somewhere in life. So by helping the pirates out and him the young boy helping them out, they all worked together he gets to go back in time to change the past of what hes done to become a nicer person .
